Association Ryder Albania is continuing the training of 150 nurses from selected Health Centers of Tirana and Durrës on “Standard nursing procedures of health care at home”.
Some of the topics being covered:
a) Clinical nursing care, including assessment of patient needs and problems based on health situations and preparation of care delivery plans,
b) Nursing care for bedsores for patients who cannot get out of bed and assistance with maintaining mobility, wound cleaning, IV and Urinary catheterization, skin care, rapid urine test, performing EKGs, etc.
c) Appropriate active and passive exercises in housing, as well as guidance and counseling on proper nutrition.
