Representatives of the Ryder Albania Association participated in the international Workshop: “The situation of palliative care in the country, the challenges of patients in need and the importance of the use of opiates for physical pain relief”, where key issues related to palliative care were discussed. An in-depth analysis of the current challenges facing patients and health professionals in this area was presented by Dr. Kristo Huta. Also, another important issue, such as increasing treatment compliance depending on the pharmaceutical form and possible combinations, was presented by Dr. Ali Xhixha. Two professional figures who have made an extraordinary contribution to the field of palliative care throughout the country and for whom we feel proud to be part of the Ryder Albania Association team.
